Privacy Policy

Last updated 16 October 2026 · Coast Digital Limited

Coast Digital Limited ("we") runs Coast. We follow the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020. This policy explains what we collect and why.

What we collect

How we use it

Only to run Coast for you: saving your budgets, sharing with a household partner you invite, and managing your plan. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.

Who we share it with

Trusted service providers that host the app and process payments (such as Paddle and Google Play). A partner you invite to your household can see and edit shared budget data.

Your choices

You can view and change your data in the app at any time. You can permanently delete your account and data from Settings → Delete account. Billing records may be kept where the law requires it.

Deleting your account

In the app: go to Settings → Account & legal → Delete account, type DELETE and confirm. Your account and data are removed immediately.

Without the app: email admincoastdigital@gmail.com from the email address you signed up with, using the subject "Account Deletion Request". We will delete your account and all associated data (budgets, expenses, investments, net worth, Learn progress and notes) within 30 days and confirm by email.

Billing and payment records may be kept for up to 7 years where tax or financial law requires it. Deleting your account does not cancel an app store subscription — cancel it in Google Play or Manage billing first.

Security

Data is sent over encrypted connections and each user can only access their own (and their household's) data. An optional PIN adds protection on your device.
